ALT HOTEL TORONTO PEARSON OFFERS BASIC LUXURIES, FRESH FOOD ON THE GO AND ALTEXPO!
The first ALT Hotel to be built outside of Quebec is now open and welcoming guests at Canada’s leading airport, the Toronto Pearson International Airport. The modern 13-floor, 153-room hotel occupies a prime location adjacent to the airport terminals at the end of the LINK train line that runs every five minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"Our brand of hospitality has been welcomed in markets across Canada and we are thrilled to now be offering an ALTernative hotel experience to the millions of travellers who transit through Toronto Pearson International Airport every year," said Christiane Germain, co-president and CEO of Groupe Germain Hospitalité.
“We are very excited to be working with Groupe Germain Hospitalité,” said Pamela Griffith-Jones, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer for the GTAA. “The ALT Hotel concept is an ideal fit for our business and leisure guests who are looking for simple, yet stylish accommodations close to the airport at an affordable price.”

"In our view, being ALTernative means knowing what counts for our guests. Complimentary WIFI, ultra comfortable bedding and mattresses, healthy food on the go and cutting edge meeting spaces are just some of the basic luxuries that can be found at ALT Hotel Toronto Pearson," continuedChristiane Germain.
At ALT Hotel Toronto Pearson, guests can choose to relax in their room, work out in the gym or play a game of pool in the lounge while waiting for a flight or in between meetings. They can also have a hot or cold meal made from a variety of fresh grab-and-go foods at ALTcetera, or contribute to the interactive mural in the hotel lobby.
ALTEXPO: A collective work of art
ALT Hotels held a photo contest via Instagramin order to create a collective work of artdesigned specifically for the ALT Hotel Toronto Pearson. More than 80 000 images, inspired by a daily color theme, were submitted by participants from all over the world over a two-week period. The final installation featuring thousands of Instagram pictures also includes LCD screens that display the contest photos as well as new photos submitted by hotel guests in real time.
"After hospitality, design makes up the greater part of our DNA. Wewanted to havesomething unique for the lobby, an original work of art that was a testament tocreativity and modern design. It was completely natural for us to collaborate withthe community via social media," said Marie Pier Germain, Director of Special Projects at Groupe Germain Hospitalité. "We were amazed by the overwhelming response and the quality of the photographs we received. We are looking forward to seeing the mural evolve as our guests share new images of their ALTernative experience while at the hotel."
