Lionel began his hotel-management career after receiving a Diploma in Hotel Business Management from the Institut de Tourisme et d'Hôtellerie du Québec in 1988. In 1991, he furthered his hospitality management study. He earned two certificates - one in Hospitality Industry and Staff Training and one in Food and Beverage Management - from the Educational Institute in Michigan State.

With more than 17 years of experience, Larose is a welcome addition to the Calgary team. "With a strong background in hospitality sales, Larose is a Calgarian who possesses a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence in customer service," says Germain. "Carrie focuses on attracting business, raising brand awareness and nurturing relations within the tourism community. A mandate she works to fulfill with enthusiasm and aplomb." A foodie at heart, Larose has spent time in Mendoza, Argentina working closely with sommeliers and learning the intricacies of wine development. She enjoys learning from travel experiences, including her extended journeys throughout South and Central America. Outside of work, Larose holds an advanced rescuer certificate specializing in high angle and confined spaces. She has Alberta Fitness Leadership certification and is a qualified rescue scuba diver.
