There’s no better way to explore Ottawa than by bike. Here is a quick little bike ride through Hintonburg, Little Italy and Chinatown with some great stops along the way.
First off, we head over to a quiet street in Hintonburg. Meat Press is a charming little restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner serving charcuterie and sandwiches. This is not your typical sandwich shop!

In need of a sweet fix we head towards Gladstone Avenue. If you need a quick frozen custard fix, Merry Dairy is your go to place. They offer various types of products including a Midwestern-style frozen custard, Jersey-style frozen custard, hard scoop ice cream, floats, shakes and ice cream sandwiches all using premium ingredients.

If you’re hunting for treasures, Ward 14 is the place to go. Part bar, part antique/consignment shop they offer a quirky cocktail list as well as unique vintage items. They host a bunch of events including a trivia nights and local DJ nights.

Back on the bike, we head towards Chinatown to peruse some art. Hidden away in this part of the city is Central Art Garage. The gallery, located in a reclaimed auto mechanic garage, contains carefully curated contemporary shows of local, national and international artists.
