Le Germain Hotel Calgary welcomes first guests

MODERN VITALITY AND UNIQUE, AUTHENTIC STYLE DEFINE HÔTEL LE GERMAIN EXPERIENCE

As Le Germain Calgary welcomes its first guests this week, it is the creators – architects, designers, builders (mostly from Quebec) – of this important project that celebrate this achievement, the first of its kind for Groupe Germain since it regroups a boutique-hotel, an office tower and 40 private residences. Now open, the 143-room Hôtel Le Germain Calgary is a new landmark at the centre of one of Canada’s most sophisticated and vibrant cities.

“Welcoming our first guests always represents an important moment for us, for our family and for everyone who took part in this new hotel, said Christiane Germain, Co-president of Groupe Germain. We are proud of what we achieved and hope this hotel will become the new gathering hot-spot for Quebec and Canadian travelers who appreciate the distinctive style and authentic service Groupe Germain boutique-hotels offer, added Germain.

At the heart of Calgary
Located at 9th Avenue and Centre Street, Hôtel Le Germain Calgary is steps away from the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts, the Glenbow Museum, the Calgary Tower, the TELUS Convention Centre, Olympic Plaza and the popular Stephen Avenue pedestrian walk where you can find nine major shopping centers and department stores, retro cinemas, some of Calgary's finest restaurants, pubs, cafés and bars, as well as an eclectic mix of boutiques and galleries.

Hôtel Le Germain Calgary is at the heart of one of Canada’s most vibrant city. An architectural expression of the signature style of Groupe Germain, the hotel facade is clad in Spanish wood hinting at interiors that also celebrate a return to natural materials with stone floors, wood paneling, soft leathers and solid granite.

The lobby of the hotel enveloped in a dramatic 25-foot glass wall that fills the lounge and front desk area with radiant natural light. This exposure to the urban environment adds a modern vitality to the spacious, inviting entry area. In addition to a sweeping spiral stairwell, a large ceramic artwork installation punctuates the hotel lobby, commissioned by Quebec artist Pascale Girardin. Also welcoming its first guests this week, CHARCUT Roast House is accessible from the lobby of Hôtel Le Germain Calgary.
