We are seeing life in colours this fall near Quebec City.
The team at Le Germain Hotel Quebec presents their favorite places to admire the beautiful colors of fall near Quebec City.
ÎLE D’ORLÉANS
About fifteen kilometers away from Quebec City is the magnificent Île d'Orléans, located in the heart of the St. Lawrence River. In the fall, visitors can go apple picking or simply enjoy the beautiful colors and the splendid views.
PARC NATIONAL DE LA JACQUES-CARTIER
Lace up your walking boots and go explore the Parc National de la Jacques Cartier, located less than an hour away from Quebec City. You can appreciate the fall colors as much by hiking as by bike, canoe or kayak. On the way back, make a stop at La Souche Stoneham, a microbrewery where you can quench your thirst with a nice cold beer.
MONT-SAINTE-ANNE
There is a reason to celebrate every weekend from September 21st to October 14th at Mont-Sainte-Anne as it is the Grande virée des couleurs, where many outdoors activities are organized.
WENDAKE
The Wendake Native American Reserve is our concierge's best discovery this year. You can surely visit the place for the fall colors, but you could also visit the national longhouse Ekionkiestha', the Nation Santé spa as well as enjoy a meal at restaurant La traite.
JOAN OF ARC GARDEN
Located on the Plains of Abraham, the Joan of Arc Garden is worth a visit each seasons. However, in the fall, the park is transformed into a haunted park where many activities and guided tours, on the theme of Halloween, take place. Best visit in the evening!
THE UNUSUAL PASSAGES
This public art exhibition, presented until October 14th, makes you discover Quebec City in a fun and completely different way. You will discover some lesser-known places around town and be able to enjoy fall colors in a much more urban area.
