In collaboration with the Brasserie Bois Blanc, Germain Hotels is now offering its signature beers! Three custom-brewed creations that are sure to delight hop connoisseurs and are available exclusively at several of our establishments across Canada.
Bottling the essence of Germain Hotels would be no small feat — but that’s the exact challenge Christiane Germain set for herself almost a decade ago. And the result was le Margot: limited-production rosé wine crafted from grapes from the entrepreneur's own vineyard, now operated by Domaine Bergeville.
All these years later — and inspired by the strong public interest in this wine that evokes the warm hospitality of the group's hotels — a new idea formed in the minds of the team members: "What if we could also craft our own beer?"
It was at Bar Les Cousins, the bar at Escad Hotel in the heart of the Dix30 district, that the concept began to take shape. Resident mixologist Adaina Smyth collaborated with Brasserie Bois Blanc, an innovative and creative young microbrewery in Coteau-du-Lac, and the foundation for a collaborative project was soon formed. Through much brainstorming and discussion, the two teams managed to concoct the ideal formula for bringing a little of the Germain experience home, by way of three canned beers — one white, one IPA and one blonde. One distinct beverage with a unique and sophisticated taste for each of the Germain Hotels banners!
White – Escad Hotel
A citrusy and refreshing medley that’s perfect for happy hour.
IPA – Alt Hotels
Surprising and full of character, this beer will please the discriminating palate that’s in search of new flavours.
Blonde – Le Germain Hotels
A classic and fresh taste inspired by English blondes. A true delight!
In addition to helping more people discover this microbrewery’s exceptional products across Canada, the project allows guests of Germain Hotels to discover local flavours and expertise right in their mini-bar and the hotel restaurant. Available exclusively through the hotels for the time being, these delicious Quebec beers are sure to impress connoisseurs of hops, as well as all who appreciate the uniqueness and hospitality of Germain Hotels' 18 establishments.
