Three vineyards to visit in Nova Scotia this fall

Canadian wines are on the rise and Nova Scotia, thanks to innovative wine makers and a great terroir, has been increasingly standing out. Here are three favourites.

Benjamin Bridge

If you drank Canadian bubbly recently, chances are it was touched by Benjamin Bridge winemaker, Jean-Benoit Deslauriers. BB Wines, from sparkling and pet nat (for pétillant naturel, or naturally sparkling ) to whites and rosé, have been on a lot of tables and parties in the last years – and with reason: it’s delicious. On your trip to Nova Scotia, make sure to stop by, take a stroll in the vineyard, book a tasting and enjoy! 

Domaine de Grand Pré

Established in Grand Pré for more than 25 years, family-owned Domaine de Grandpré harbours a fantastic winery (you can tour it by appointment every day) and the delicious Le Caveau Restaurant. The bucolic setting and the delicious local food and wines make for a perfect fall day plan. 

Lightfoot & Wolfville

We have a big crush beautiful family-run farm and winery. Owned and managed by the lovely Lightfoot family, Lightfoot & Wolfville is a stunning property, where you can taste beautiful artisanal wines, eat great local food and wander around to see vines, highland cattle and sheep.
